OK, what HOT TOYS have done with this DX 1989 JOKER figure is as astounding as its companion piece, the 1989 DX BATMAN figure.
The figure is just incredible, from the 'fat suit' that he is wearing under his costume, to the freaky-real face sculpt and expressive PERS rolling eye system. It's all totally realistic.
The quality of HT's face sculpts has seriously improved for these most recent pair and also the Christopher Reeve SUPERMAN last year. The texture of even the skin on these faces is unreal. And the mad smile expression is also spot on.
A great costume and accessories make a terrific package.
The only down-side that I can see he has hat-hair, a sad necessity of him being able to wear his hat. If he's wearing it you cannot see it, but if you have him 'hat-off' it is more obvious over his ears.
Not enough to make you buy the figure. He is a bit more expensive than his BATMAN counterpart but still a great item.
